Avalanche The Architect- Lyrical Freestyle
At first listen one may think Avalanche is yelling in his raps but when we took an in depth look into this Hip Hop Hulk with iron vocal cords we heard a masterful lyricist who is highly intellectual. Many lines go over your head if you only listen to his tone but it is undeniable this guy has got bountiful knowledge that escapes the sharpest of minds. The beginning of the video shows off Avalanches over 20 years of martial arts training cleverly paired dialog from a Rocky movie, then it goes into a rap that is a ferocious as the aggression he shows decimating the heavy bag with power packed petrifying punches that would buckle the knees of a rhino. With lines like “kkk dream I’m a hung dread/ your girl calls me when she wants a hung dread” there is no question Avalanche is lyrically Canada’s Canibus or at least is to the Canadian rap game lyrically like Canibus was to NY’s in the mid to late 90’s. Avalanches younger brother Malik The Beast posts up in the video as Avalanches body guard intimidating the camera, this power house duo have a track called “Build or Destroy”, which is a play on Avalanche The Architect‘s name where as the Architect builds and the Avalanche destroys. The track a sobering reminder of why 90’s rap was the golden era of this music, these two move as one cohesive unit in and out of verses. This is a mix tape dream for those who like that gritty hard boom bap rap you can work out to.
