August Rigo- Don’t Do Drugs

August Rigo- Don’t Do Drugs

My mom called me one morning and asked me if I did drugs. Then my girl called me complaining about feeling unloved. That spiralled into a really tough day. One of those days where I wanted to just throw in the towel, those times when you look at how far you’ve come and see how much further you have to go. They happen all the time to me I swear, but as I lit my joint and stared at my computer I was able to put it all into perspective and then into this song. I do music for a living and I’ve been chasing this elusive dream all my life. Now more than ever I feel closer to it. Not in terms of fame, popularity or money. If I measured my success by that admittedly I’m way behind. But internally, in my soul I can feel the energy and the vibe. I can see the direction clearly and even though it’s still far, it’s slowly taking shape. There’s a lot more to say about it, but for now I’ll let the music speak. -August
