Your Guide To The 9th Annual Manifesto Festival
Manifesto celebrates ONE CITY with 9thAnnual Manifesto Festival of Community and Culture
TORONTO, September 3, 2015 – On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 the 9
Festival of Community and Culture will launch, showcasing Canadian-born and international
talent for another year. With a goal of highlighting talent in music, dance and visual arts from
across the Greater Toronto Area Manifesto launches this year’s festivals under the theme “ONE
CITY”, and will have a uniquely Toronto-centric lineup. The festival will take place from
Wednesday, September 16 – Sunday, September 20.
This year’s festival brings back the staples that Manifesto has come to be known for, including
Live at the Square, the all-day free celebration of music, art, dance and food at Yonge-Dundas
Square. Torontonians will be treated to a line-up of some of Canada’s most talented veteran
and up-and-coming artists, including Melanie Fiona, GoldLink, Pluto and Junia T.
Manifesto will also mix things up this year, introducing Toronto to some of that new new—an
evening of future soul and forward thinking hip hop from some of Toronto’s most talked about
artists. The event promises to shine a light on the talent that exists here in the city and
showcase some of the best that Canada has to offer.
